Blogging more

A week ago, whilst emailing Adesola about my work, she mentioned to me "keep blogging as much as possible and getting involved". I think I had forgot the importance of the Blogs and how much feedback you can get from people, so now realising that once again, I am on a mission!!

When I look back to our first module, I remember how much everyone used their blog, and I know, I was on as much as I could, but now I feel like I read all the blogs but I never write a comment anymore. The whole point of a blog is to interact, so that is exactly what I much do more of.

  1. Hi Melissa, I completely agree. We definately all need to get back to blogging more for this last part of the course. I think everyone has forgotten how much information can actually be shared via the blogs. Even just reading your post has reminded me that I too need to get cracking on writing another blog post! I hope this module is going well for you. Natalie x

  2. i agree with what you have said as well, but the question here we have now is that hpw do we get people involve in such interest we have.

for example how can you get a performing art student interests in design.
although coming to think about it we do technically work together because as perfomers , you got to be dressed up you got to have set your staggings right, you got to engage people in the whole scene and the scenary has to be attractive as well as performers performing.

so my question again is how do we get performing arts students interact with design students?

  3. Hi Melissa,
I am currently writing up my draft of my Critical Review and came across the "blogging tool". Although I have been using my blog lots to post my work and even just my progress or any other things that have come my way this module, I have not been commenting enough on other peoples work. I came across your post about it and that was the incentive to make more effort, so this is the start of my new goal to comment more on other peoples blogs.

  4. Im glad everyone is realising how useful our blogging is once again. I have had some great feedback and some very helpful comments from people, and hopefully my comments have been helpful for others too!

Akin - I think it can be quite easy to get people involved in other subjects. I don't really know much about design, but I try get involved with it in my workplace. I try look at the scenic design, and how the costumes were designed, after all they are all part of the production we are involved in. Just as the designer's need to be aware of the dancers when creating for shows. If you can find ways that another subject relates into your workplace then it's easier to get involved and interact.
    I hope this helps.
